The Basic Difference between the Two

You've decided to give someone a gift basket. Okay, that's wonderful. But what kind do you give them? Will it really make a difference what you choose to put it in, or what you choose to put in it? The answer is easy; yes; yes it does. The different kinds of coffee and tea gift baskets are as individual as the person who will be receiving it.

The main distinction between a coffee gift basket and a tea gift basket is naturally the coffee and tea. Of course it doesn't stop there. If you are presenting a coffee gift basket then what you put in the basket should be geared toward their favorite coffees. The same with tea gift baskets. When you put together the coffee gift basket for example, you don't want to have a rich, dark coffee gift in the same basket with, say, a lot of sugared candy. Rich, dark coffees should be paired with some shortbread cookies to help bring out the flavor of the coffee. It's no different with tea gift baskets. If you are giving a tea gift basket that has decaffeinated tea in it, then you don't want to give anything chocolate as a snack because chocolate has caffeine in it. Look around before you decide on what to include in the coffee and tea gift baskets. Using a little common sense when it comes to pairing up the coffee or tea with the appropriate snacks will pay off handsomely when you see their face. They will know that you took the time to put one together just for them.

When giving a coffee gift basket, you can also add some trinkets that are geared toward your coffee lover. If you choose to give them coffee beans, then you can put in a nice coffee grinder. If the coffee gift basket is for Mother's Day, then maybe throw in some hand-made coupons giving mom a break so that she can enjoy her coffee. Make up some coupons that say things like "One Kitchen Cleaning" or "Present this coupon for breakfast in bed". You'd be surprised how much she'll enjoy it.

Use the same strategy when giving a tea gift basket. If your tea lover will be getting herbal tea, then consider adding in some relaxation CD's or an eye mask. The herbal tea will be relaxing, so you want to go with that same feeling. If the tea gift basket is for Father's Day, then you can present it in a beautiful, wooden chest. Add in some relaxation items geared toward dad such as a warm pair of slippers or a new pipe.

Whichever you decide to give; a coffee gift basket, or a tea gift basket, make sure that you know the person you are giving it to well enough to know what they would like to have in it. Besides the many types of coffee and tea, the gifts that you will include in the gift basket will say what you want it to. Whether that is Happy Mother's Day, Happy Father's Day, or even Happy Housewarming; you want to make certain that the meaning comes through loud and clear. They will know that you care about them.
